Bluebonnets

We finally went for Pics in the bluebonnets, before they all dried up! Harper was definitely not too much in the mood, she didnt want to look at the camera much and did not want to take one with Mommy! :( Oh well! I got this outfit from family of antique dealers (Richard and Patsy- HI! ) . I was telling them how I wanted to go to a certain booth in Warrenton because I heard they were having children's pettiskirts , and they told me their sister n law was coming and she sold em , but she only has a website . www.bodaciousblingboutique.com , So they called her and she brought some stuff to buy! We absolutley LOVE this outfit!! It' s REALLY pink and really frilly!!!! I didnt get the bow in time ( well didnt make it to the Post office before they closed!). We also went to Hallmark to take pics with Eatser Bunny, the pics shoudl turn out FUNNY because she did not want to sit at all!! So I am in the pic too , trying not to cry because I was laughing soo hard! That one will be posted as soon I pick it up from Hallmark! Hope ya'll enjoy these pics!!

OKAY, so tonight as I was checking email and stuff, I got an email from Jessica Janacek about her blog being updated so I went and checked it out, http://www.bragginaboutmybabies.blogspot.com/, and after looking at the insanely adorable pictures of her daughter, Ella, I noticed a button to a blog that I had seen on ther before so I clicked on it , and now for the last several hours I have been reading this blog. It is a blog from a Mother in Minneapolis whose son is sick with heart problems. I started reading the blog posts from about end of February thru April 1. She is an amazing woman . I feel like I could know her because of how she writes, or something I dont know what exactly. Anyway I just have felt compelled to share so that maybe more(already thousands know) will know Stellan's story and continue to pray for him and Jennifer. Reading this had definitely reminded me just how truly blessed I have been and it is only because of God grace that I continue to grow in him everydayand continue to be blessed! I thank God everyday for my BEAUTIFUL , HEALTHY , VIBRANT child ! And for family and friends that love me . I truly have a WONDERFUL LIFE!! Teeth Update!

OK, I know I haven't posted in a long time, but Lord knows I dont think ANYONE ever reads this! But here is an update on the teeth. We went to the dentist yesterday again! She was fine until she saw him waiting for her at the end of the hall! I was trying to convince her he wasn't gonna hurt her and she needed to be a big girl, but she told me she wasn't a big girl. He checked em out and said one thing I knew to be true, that the placement of it looked better, somehow looks more inline with the others. I dont know how after hitting them soo much! This past Wednesday( a week ago) she fell and busted her bottom lip. so I am sure she hit those teeth too! BUT he said not only is that one loose but the two on either side are now LOOSE!!! ANd he doesn't expect em to stay in!!!!! Toothless for years is what I am thinking!! His wife said they could do a bridge with fake teeth! Yeah sure how much will that be???? NOT! When he was talking to me Harper was sitting beside me and she looked at me and said "I'm not happy!! " LOL... Anyway, that's it for now.. I will try to get a pic of her teeth to post. Broken Teeth..not really

Well, this weekend gave us our first big accident!! Harper spent the night with her Aunt BB on Friday night, I actually got to go out and let my hair down , wish I hadn't the next day! LOL... different story... The next morning on the way to work I called to check on Harper and everything was great as I expected, she LOVES staying with Aunt BB. Went to work, and a short time later BreAnne (Aunt BB) came in with Harper and said "Gail I need to talk to you." WHAT ? WHY ? WHAT's WRONG? OMG WHAT?? And you know since I had a bit of a hangover I freaked out immediately and I didn't even know what was going on yet! She told me to look at her mouth. And of course I freaked out more! BreAnne had told me that Kendall (her daughter) and Harper were monkeying around on the couch, she told them to stop before someone got hurt. She went into the other room and Harper came in a few minutes later saying she broke her teeth! BreAnne just thought maybe she busted her lip because it was bleeding, she said Harper didn't cry til Corey showed her the blood. But when she was cleaning her lip she noticed that one of her teeth was out of place!! That's when she brought her to me. We frantically started calling dentists. Thank goodness I was doing Glenda Johnson's hair , having worked for Hatfield forever she was calm and calling around for us, we finally got in touch with Dr. Zatopek who met us at his office. He tried to move it back into position but not with much luck. We just now have to watch it for color change , more movement , tenderness(after the initial pain goes away) and go from there! She had the BIGGEST lip ever after her nap on Saturday! BreAnne had asked Kendall what happened when she got back home, and Kendall said Harper was crawling from her couch to the coffee table when her hands slipped and her face hit the table! And left teeth marks in the table! It could have been so much worse. We are very thankful it wasn't her eye or something worse! BreAnne was soo stinkning fabulous with her and ME(LOL). If it had to happen I am glad it happemed with her! She handle it great! Guess that's why she's a nurse! And Dr. Zatopek is wonderful too! He explained everything several times and on a level a freaked out mother could handle! He even called this mornig to check on her! How many doctors do that? HE is truly awesome!!! We go back friday for a check up on it...will keep ya posted! Sorry I didnt take any pictures becasue I thought it looked too horrible! Probably would be funny now but ..oh well

BEDTIME

(note: started this on last Thursday , finishing onThursday the 26th!) Ok so I know I am not the only mother that has bedtime issues but some nights I handle it better than others. Tonight actually was ok . She just says some funny stuff sometimes.... tonight she had to go to bed without a book being read to her because she didnt get out of the bathtub in a timely fashion, you know, according to my time! She was done it was getting late, almost 9:30!, and I was ready to be done with it! LOL ! SO I told her if she didn't get out by the time I counted to three she wouldn't have any books read to her. She acted like she didn't here me and so we didnt get a book read. When I finally got her to bed, after threatening her with a spanking with a wooden spoon... that story in a minute, I did the ritual, cover her up and her babies , just zoe tonight, patted her back then said "Good Night baby", she said "don't tell me that", so I said "sleep tight", again don't tell me that! What am I supposed to say then??? "Sweet Dreams!" was the reply!! Awwww!! LOL It was very sweet but now I guess our night night sentiments are her idea! It's funny listening to the new phrases she comes up with or hears .. in the bath tub she was cleaning the shampoo bottle(one of the many I have for her!) and she would get done wiping it off and exclaim "much better, much much better!



Now the wooden spoon story... Harper got sent home from Mt. Calvary with a note on Monday saying she was hitting a lot, and if I could please have a talk with her! Our hands are for loving gentle touches and helping one another and not hitting. Well, I have also read that if you spank it should be with something other than your hand for those same reasons, so last night when she would not go to bed she was told she would get a spanking if she didnt, she popped off with some backtalk so I spanked her , with my hand, and her response was "dont HIT ME!" Oh brother I thought... is this where she's getting the hitting from? That night was awful trying to get her to bed. Wednesday she came home with a note saying she was SPITTING!! Is she turning into a MONSTER?? What's next biting?? I'll tell you what's next in a sec! So again we had a talk about it and I asked her where she learned that? School was the answer of course! So the next morning just like Tuesday morning we marched in and apologized to Miss Linda for being ugly and spitting we would work on trying not to do it again! This past Tuesday night(23rd) on our way home from Nanny's house we were having a converstaion when I asked how was school, fine. DId you get in trouble. YES, for what? PINCHING!!!! WHAT ? WHO? John Thomas, the boy she was hitting and spitting at!!! Did he cry, Yes. DId you get in trouble , YES, sat in time out, and missed snack and lunch! Yeah right like they would not let you eat! Told her that we were going to apologize the next day and if she wanted to keep friends she NEEDED to be nice! When she went to bed that night she was hollering at me to come back to her room , she told me she was sorry for pinching John Thomas! The next morning we apologized to Miss Linda, but she knew nothing about it, either it happened in the afternoon when Linda is gone or it didn't really happen!!! Either way we apologized! Is she turning into a MONSTER??? I pray not! Bedtime really hasnt gotten easier, she now tells me she needs to poop, we get the diaper off and sit, then she tells me "it not working!" It takes forever to get her to bed! UGH!!

Lastly.... LaGrange Leps Basketball going to Playoffs! GO LEPS GO!!!! GO KOBE TIME!!!!!

WOW! My first Sesame Street LIVE!!! And I survived!! LOL ! We got tickets from a certain local radio station! Thanks LouAnn! :) We had really good seats! Second level second row! Perfect ... far enough away so they weren't scary and close enough to see! Right in the middle! Aunt Dawn made Camryn and Harper's outfits! Tshirts that said Elmo ROX! and the tutus! The girls had a GREAT time dancing, clapping and eating popcorn! It was fun! Can't wait for our next show like this one! Have a GREAT DAY!!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

Happy Valentines Day to YOU!

It was a crazy day for me , I worked ALL day at the shop .. I am not complaining because we know what it means to work all day... $$$ LOL ! When I got off at the shop I picked up Harper and we met some friends at Bistro 108 for supper! It was awesome! And everyone loved my PRINCESS! Thanks to her Aunt Dawn she was dressed exactly how a princess should be!! Unfortunately when I picked up Harper from Granny's , Boris(Tavarus is his name, Harper can only say Boris!! LOL) was very sad that he didn't get to come with us and boy did he stick his bottom lip out to let me know !!! LOL Hopefully he got over it! Anyway supper was fabulous!! And now she is fast asleep getting her beauty rest for Elmo... We are off to Sesame Street Live tomorrow!! Wish us luck !!! We'll see how it goes...Aunt Dawn is making matching tutus for Camryn and Harper!! Pics of that will come soon!

Harper's new "HAT"!!!

My child's independance is definitely shining through. I was hoping that I had time before she started wanting to pick out her clothes , but no such luck! I was getting her clothes together on Tuesday morning in her room and she was sitting on her big girl bed watching, she usually is in my bed watching Tigger and Pooh, but she wanted to "watch me" , so I picked up a shirt and she told me no that it was too small! Every shirt I picked up she told me the same thing! I finally picked up a skirt that she decided was ok and then she told me she needed a pink shirt. She picked up a "shirt" out of a box of clothes that need to go somewhere, and said she wanted to wear that shirt, I told her it wasnt a shirt, then she said "OH it's my new HAT!! " I tried to tell her several times that it was not a HAT but of course she wouldnt listen to me what do I know! I let her wear it while I got pictures of course!!

It at least matched what she was wearing!! I still needed to convince her it wasnt't a HAT!

It was actually a diaper cover! But she thought she was really stylin!! LOL ! That's the only reason she let me take a pic, lately I can't take a pic if she aint showing off and she's proud of it! I did finally convince her it was bloomers, and she took it off her head! She just then had to wear it to school under her skirt!! Beauty pageants watch out here comes HARPER!!! LOL!! She was showing off in gymnastics on Monday too! We haven't been in a long time so at first Monday she didn't want to cooperate, but her friend Camryn was there and we told her to show Camryn how to do the splits because she's new to gymnastics and you shoulda seen her do a split! Like she been doing it for years! And she had to show EVERYBODY!! And jumping that day she did awesome, I think for the same reason , she wanted to show off!!! Whatever works I guess! LOL!

Feeling Inspired

I just added a music player to my blog! I put on it some of my FAVORITE worship songs! The first one is Amazing Grace (my chains are broken) by Chris Tomlin, I don't know why but this song, like the rest of these, touch my heart and I just wanted to put them on here to share them with you. Last night I did watch the movie Amazing Grace. It was interesting, not what I thought but interesting all the same!I thought it would be more about the song but it wasn't. I hope when you listen to these songs they will touch your heart in some way. Have an AWESOME day!

GO LEPS GO!!!

Tonight Harper and I went to the last home game of the season for the LaGrange Leopards!! And wow what a game it was!! They played Columbus and WON!!! It was an intense game!! Like always we seem to manage to sit near the opponents, I think because it's closest to the steps to get down and out for a potty break! Basketball games and potty training aren't a good combination!! Of course during the best part of the game she announces to me that she has to POOP!!! I grabbed her like a football and took off for the potty! But of course FALSE alarm!! Back to the game... Ryan "Kobe Time" Henneke was AWESOME as usual!! He scored 19 points! Harper was yelling "Go Ryan Go" everytime he shot that she was paying attention, which we all know is not much! LOL ! Here's a pic of Harper and her MVP of the game!

When we got home and ready for bed , I put Harper's new disney princess bedding(from Avon via Aunt Kathy!) on her bed and she kept saying how beautiful it was and how it was Cinderella like her movie!! When I was patting her back for her to go night night she said enough MOM! I guess she doesn't need me since she has her princesses! :( BIG GIRL!!

Welcome ME!!!

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME!!! I have been following a few blogs of some friends and one family and had thought about doing my own blog but wasnt sure about how to do it or if anybody would read it! But I thought I would give it a try ... so here goes nothing ! LOL. Let me start by saying I will be a late night blogger. I like to stay up to wee hours when Harper is asleep. I get mommy time this way . Lots of it usually! I think I will love this because as most of you know and I am sure most (ok ALL ) of you are the same, I LOVE to brag about my girl! The diva she is and is becoming!!

We have had a BIG week(or two!) , in many ways! Harper is wearing big girl panties now! Princess panties to be exact! She is doing awesome with this! A few accidents here and there but nothing major! She has been in her big girl bed for a week now! And so far only 1 horrible night, she didnt want to go to bed. "I want you" is all i heard frome her, so I just threw her in my bed after fighting an hour with her to go to sleep!! But I got to snuggle with her so it worked out good but don't tell her I said that! LOL. The next night she stayed in bed all night and when I went in there the next morning she said "I MAKE YOU HAPPY!" She new I was proud of her for staying in bed all night and that I would be happy because of it!
